For those of you who may not be too familiar with
me from this forum or from agentsonline, my name is Dan
and i have been a member of PMC for just about as long as
there has been a PMC and I can honestly say the following:
I have searched high and low as an agent for systems to
help me manage contacts, schedule contact with those contacts,
set up drip email campaigns, design websites that fit specific
marketing niches, use technology within my websites that
is as impressive to a buyer or seller as it is practical
to use, and other things I'd like to do with a web-presence
in the real estate field.
PowerMarketingCenter has given me all, not some, ALL of
those things.
Integrated contact management software that not only allows
me to reach out to new contacts, but allows them to enter
themselves into my database with the click of a "submit
button.
A calendar that reminds me of what I need to do and when
i need to do it that is automatically linked to campaigns
and specific contacts or contact groups.
Email campaigns that I set up so that I stay in touch with
leads on a regular basis that I choose. And furthermore,
I have been given access to pre-written materials to send,
thus saving myself time and energy. And they weren't written
by some hack, they were written by a person who is hired
to write ad copy for multi-million dollar corporations.
Is it all perfect for me? Heck no. I tweak and alter, but
that's a lot less stressful and time consuming than re-inventing
the wheel. And there are several pre-designed campaigns
that make me look like I know what I'm doing even if I don't
yet.
"Fake it till you make it."
5 free websites that I can set up, each with "about
me" pages, "dream home finder" form pages
and other "standards" in the industry. Sure I
can go to resionline or pageone and pay thousands for a
custom-made flash-o-rama javafest. But most of what they're
going to do, I can do myself with support marketing that
won't cost me $2K/month.
Unlimited lead capture pages that allow me to do so many
things it's hard to describe. I can market to niches like:
waterfront properties, condos, townhouses, beachfront homes,
doctors, lawyers, teachers, renters, empty-nesters, FSBO's,
expireds, new construction, investors, tall people, short
people, specific nationalities, tall expired empty nest
investors from foreign countries, it's endless... And each
one is a fully functional portal that gives the reader a
form to fill out and automatically enter my database.
Audio on websites. Now, I'm not saying I do that thing
where when someone hits my page they get some crappy midi
version of the ROCKY theme song because I'm the REALTOR
who'll "knockout the competition." I mean they
can get an audio clip of me summarizing the site, or describing
a listing, or offering and added benefit to what is on the
page, or whatever the heck I want to say. 99% of the people
looking at my pages will be so amazed that the internet
is talking to them, they'll write Al Gore an email thanking
him for inventing it.
PMC offers all that stuff for...get ready...$50.00/month.
That's fifty friggin' US dollars per month! It costs more
to save one of those starving kids in those commercials.
And I also get access to RealMarketingPros. The amount
of money I'd have to spend to get even a tenth of the marketing
materials I get here would pay for PMC for years.
Is PMC perfect? No. But what is? I'll tell you what, though...PMC
is pretty
!#@* great. Is that website with a $700 setup fee and $150/month
going to help you in your real estate acreer? Not if you
don't market it. Not if no one knows it's there. And if
you DO market it correctly, you don't NEED a site that expensive.
Real estate is a numbers game. You need leads and a way
to reach them. Period. get the leads and you'll make the
money, end of story. Save the money on the big dollar sites
and set up a PMC site and spend the cash on search engine
optimization or pay-per-click.
PMC has been great to me and it is now getting even better.
Anything on these forums that talks about a part of PMC
not working is there because improvements to an already
fantastic system are being tested. PMC works as well as
it always has, and in a few weeks it will be even better.
I belong to other online forums where people knock each
other, bad-mouth each other's business models, shoot down
each other's ideas, and generally allow every thread to
dissolve into a slugfest about agency or discounting.
RMP is like an oasis. A haven of positivity (is that a word?...dammit,
it is now!). Here people actually help each other to make
money and improve advertising and marketing. I grew up in
New York City, so this being nice crap is still new to me,
but it works.
Joining RMP is going to help your career. period. When
you're ready, sign up for PMC and you get RMP for free.
It's that simple.
Look. I'm not saying PMC is the best thing since Mrs. jordan's
little boy picked up a basketball. In fact, there are a
couple of things I'm waiting for PMC to have that I'd like
to use. But you know what? They're in the pipeline. they're
coming. Brian listens to his people.
There aren't many places like this in any industry, let
alone a business like real estate where, by definition,
we compete with each other in our market areas. I don't
get paid to say nice things about PMC. I pay my money just
like everyone else. I pay it because it is flat out worth
it. Don't tell brian, but I'd pay even more.
To build your own real estate business you MUST invest
in yourself. There are simply not many practical and helpful
things to invest in that give you as much bang for the buck
as PMC. So, if you're concerned about believing what you
read here at the RMP forum, believe what I've written above.
I'm not some candy a$$ blowing sunshine up your skirt. I
call things the way I see them, and I'm calling PMC gold.

Your Loyalty post really really hit home. I was raised to
always be there for others but missed not knowing that I need
to commit to myself. Bible Belt Babe. Anyway, it flowed into
my business - I even worked my butt off for that client to
see if i could get his future wife to accept me and she didn't.
I have learned overnight to give myself value and make a commitment
to myself - I thought and for some reason believed that loyalty
was the utmost and would withstand the test of time - but
it makes perfectly good sense in your post.
